NaNoWriMo

How do you prepare?

I’m gearing up for a month of writing. I need to put my energy somewhere, and it’s the perfect time to finally dedicate myself to it. As such, as any good writer I am preparing. The best way I can think of is to write.

So what do you do to get your juices flowing? Do you use writing prompts, such as the one featured? Do you use short little fantasies, little whims, things maybe you could flesh out later?

Share with us your ideas!

Forgot NaNoWriMo, and it’s already 3 days in!

Blog-Child-Support-Oh-No-261x300The month of October seemed to just disappear from me!  Today I woke up, drove to work, sat in my cube, and realized I’ve missed 3 days of my absolute first National Novel Writing Month! Hopefully the writing gods will forgive me!

So, I have now officially made an account on http://nanowrimo.org/. We shall see if this will finally jump-start my writing.  I have chosen to flesh out a novel idea that is very personal to me. Unfortunately, it really is still just an idea in my head, but I will update the Four Girls Novel page as I keep going this month.
